This is a SET of TWO units that allows your network devices to connect to your router via AC outlets. The connectivity between the devices occurs over your house wiring and allow you to get wired connections instead of Wi Fi. These only work as set of TWO.
One of the units is a MASTER that takes your internet and sends it our over your house wiring and the other one is a TERMINAL that you plug your laptop or device into in another location to receive the network signals.
You can buy and add additional terminal units and place them else where in your home. There are instruction manuals on the internet (see screen shot in the photos). I do not have the original manuals or packaging.
I have tested these and they work great.
